Introduction

GALA Games, the decentralised gaming platform has been making incredible waves throughout the crypto and gaming space recently.

With a recent Coinbase listing of the platform’s native token, $GALA, the price rocketed to an ATH of $0.48 on the 21 November 2021. To put that into context, the price was a mere $0.02 in July 2021.

Coupled with a binance listing back in August 2021 and a series of positive announcements, GALA is now nestled nicely in the Top 70 coins by marketcap.

What Is GALA Games And Its mission?

GALA games is a blockchain gaming company that is aiming to create the world’s largest decentralized gaming platform.

Decentralization is achieved through the power of 50,000 nodes that are geographically located across all four corners of the globe. These nodes provide network support to the platform and govern the network. In return node owners are rewarded in daily cryptocurrency ($GALA).

Anyone with a computer can acquire a node and this is key to the goal of decentralization.

How Much Does A Node Cost?

As of today, a GALA Games node can be acquired for $39,500.

38,862 nodes out of the absolute finite supply of 50,000 nodes have already been sold.

Now here in the interesting part. Currently, the price of the nodes increase by $500 for every 100 nodes sold. However, from the 1st December 2021, the price of the nodes will increase by $1,000 for every 100 nodes that are sold.

As an example, lets assume 39,000 nodes have been sold as at 1 December 2021. This would mean that a node would have a price tag of $40,000.

The next batch of 100 nodes (so node numbers 39,001 to 39,101) will now cost $41,000, whereas node numbers 39,101 to 39,200 will now cost $42,000 per node. This pricing mechanism will result in the last 100 nodes (so node numbers 49,901 to 50,000) selling for a rather mouth watering $150,000.

What Are Node Operators Expected To Do?

The current requirements for nodes are to simply be online for 6 hours in a 24 hour period. However, once the platform grows, further computational power will be needed as follows;

  • 50 GB Disk Space
